Walk away...
The good:
- Solid inline remote - easy to find function buttons.
- No-tangle cable is nice.
- Responsive customer service (but cannot make up for poor product quality...)
The bad:
- Build quality. Mic has now failed on both pairs I've owned. First pair lasted 4 months, together with inline remote signals (stop, play etc) failing soon after. Sent them back to JAYS and they honored the warrantee and sent a replacement set (but I paid for my shipping). Second pair failed within just 1 month. All under normal daily use conditions conducted with care. I could send this pair back and I'm sure they'd send out a third pair but what for - more of the same?
- As other reviews state - poor ear fit, with sharp edges that hurt. They leave your ears sore.
- Headphone jack is also poor. When it moves around in the [iPhone] socket (which it does a lot as it's got a silly 90o bend design), you get nasty static noise through the head phones.
Bottom line: I wanted to like them, especially with the genuine customer service they offer. But too many negatives, not least of which is that they reliably break. I'm sorry Jays, but I'll never be a return customer.

I always do lot's of online research before buying stuff.
The a-Jays caught my attention for their design and "Scandinavian" build quality.
These a-Jays come in a great package. They look very cool and have a confortable fit.
But when it comes to the real deal, it's worse than apple's default buds.
Here's what I've figured:
- Sound lacks bass - for an InEar design..
- The cord's movement makes noise on the ears - very bad for constant moving/exercise
- Mine lasted for exact 2 months! About 30 uses. Left channel is almost dead, I have to crank the volume all the way up to hear something and the final balance is always to the Right side.
I've had a lot of earphones, and these are, by far, the ones that broke in shorter time.
The last ones I've had, a XUMA, lasted for a whole year but didn't have a mic.
Guess I'm going to try using the warranty or move on to Monster Turbines.

I have had many earphones in my life and I picked these as a replacement for my dying Apple earbuds. I wanted a few things to match the Apple earphones that come with the iPhone:
1) The in-line microphone so I can take/place phone calls. I use this mostly in the car to keep me handsfree
2) Have the 3 button volume up/down and play/pause
3) Fit in my ears comfortably
The a-JAYS Four meet all those requirements and look quite stylish with the flat cable design. I started off with the buds that come on the earphones in the packaging, but eventually switched to the smaller size, which fit my ears quite nicely. The audio quality is pretty good for everyday listening, but when I travel or plan on listening for an extended period of time I opt for my nicer Shure earphones.
