I really like this back pack. Plenty of room for a Canon 7D and additional lens. Excellent quality and rugged. Protects your expensive camera gear very well.

This is the only small backpack style bag I found on Amazon that can store my camera in a vertical position, 3 lenses, a bunch of accessories, a bottle of water and a tripod. This is the list of things I was able to store inside this little bag by removing just one divider and move around the other two (see the photo I uploaded)

Nikon D3100 camera and Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR Lens with Hood attached in storage position.
Nikon 18-55mm (kit) lens with HB-45 Hood attached in storage position.
Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens with Hood attached in storage position.
(You can store this camera with any of these three lenses attached and still be able to accommodate the other two)
Battery charger and card reader. This compartment will probably fit a small speed light like the SB-400.
Cleaning items in the big zippered pocket inside (top of the camera) with room to spare.
I like the fact that I am able to carry my tripod attached and a bottle of water in the mesh pocket outside.

The only problem I've had with this bag (Lowepro take notes) is that it was being advertised with a bunch of fancy pictures and one of then showed the outside pocket storing half your closet which is simply not true. Looks like Amazon corrected this but the bag came with those pictures inside. I could only store a spare battery, an SD card, a thin note book and a slim pen in the outside pocket (there are compartments for two pens). It won't close if I try to fit a lenspen in there. This should be a quick access pocket and it needs to be bigger. The zipper gets stuck half way opening or closing, probably because of the mesh inside, I might have to remove it even if it voids the warranty. Why three layers of fabric for storage inside this tiny pocket when you can't even use one to the fullest? I don't get it. Minus one star for false advertisement.

P.S. The zipper puller in the outside pocket broke, Amazon shipped me a new bag as a replacement, thank you so much for the quick service.

Just what he needs! Compact but holds everything, not a shouldefbag but you dont have to take it off to get your camera out. Meets every purpose.
